Lalee photo session

Ever since I saw Kirti Chavan's dog pictures I've been pestering him to click my red girl. And here she is, sulky expression and all! Modelling is not her favourite activity though she gets bribed with treats to sit still. Am I just biased or is this a really good-looking and intelligent dog?! Kirti called her Lalee the wise-eyed and I so agree.

Next on the agenda: an outdoor shoot with Lalee. Thanks Kirti!

Couch potato

Through recent posts on my dogs I may have created the impression that Lalee is an athletic girl, always bouncing around on beaches or exploring fields and gardens. Just to give a more balanced picture, here are some snaps of one of her favourite activities: finding a comfortable spot and spending some hours in deep slumber. She's very clever at pushing down cushions so she can put her head on them.

At first I tried to discourage the dogs from sitting on beds and sofas...but that's easier said than done and I gave in long ago.

Picolo's grown!! I don't know why this perfectly natural occurrence should take me by surprise, but it always does! Click here to see his baby pictures, taken just three months ago.

Rocket and Gobbers: the terrible two!

If you've been coming here for a while you'll probably remember these two. Last year (October 30) I posted photos of young Gobbers, then known as Goblin, sitting inside a soup bowl. Also the first photo here, of him sleeping snuggled up to Rocket. Well, as expected Gobbers has grown rather a lot since then and has also grown really superb-looking. I hear from his owner Anuradha Gupta that his behaviour is, er, feisty, but then he is still very young and will perhaps calm down over time.

I love the totally different expressions and body language of these two dogs as they look out of the balcony. Gobbers absolutely alert and watchful - has another dog dared to enter his territory? And Rocket soulful, gentle and meditative as always.
