I'm a landrace dog fancier. Founder of the INDog Project (www.indog.co.in) and the INDog Club. Before that, I worked with urban free-ranging dogs of Mumbai from 1993-2007. Also a spider enthusiast and amateur arachnologist.

This blog is for primitive dog enthusiasts. It is part of the INDog Project www.indog.co.in. Only INDogs (India's primitive indigenous village dogs) and INDog-mixes (Indies) are featured here. The two are NOT the same, do please read the text on the right to understand the difference. Our aim: to create awareness about the primitive landrace village dog of the Indian subcontinent. I sometimes feature other landrace breeds too. Also see padsociety.org

Zoey is three

Remember baby Zoey in her little red tee? That's one of my favourite puppy photos in this blog. Have a look at her puppy post here.

Time has flown...and Zoey is now a pretty young lady, all of three years old! 8 January was celebrated as her birthday.

Sadhwi sent in photos and an update. Zoey's puzzled expression in the cake series put a big smile on my face!

On this day three years ago we saw a little black puppy about to get hit by a car. We rescued her and brought her home for fostering, but little did we know that Zoey would be ours for life.

Zoey has been a joy to have around along with our two elder rescue dogs. She is the light of the house. Energetic, very intelligent, obedient and so very easy to train! She loves toys and has the daily routine of picking a toy out of her toy box to play with for hours after her evening walk.

We are glad no-one adopted her so we got to keep her forever. And we love seeing her enjoy life!
