About Me

My photo
Mumbai, India
I'm a landrace dog fancier. Founder of the INDog Project (www.indog.co.in) and the INDog Club. Before that, I worked with urban free-ranging dogs of Mumbai from 1993-2007. Also a spider enthusiast and amateur arachnologist.

This blog is for primitive dog enthusiasts. It is part of the INDog Project www.indog.co.in. Only INDogs (India's primitive indigenous village dogs) and INDog-mixes (Indies) are featured here. The two are NOT the same, do please read the text on the right to understand the difference. Our aim: to create awareness about the primitive landrace village dog of the Indian subcontinent. I sometimes feature other landrace breeds too. Also see padsociety.org

Sun, wind, joy

Pictures of my pup Kimaya and my Lalee taken last month on the beach in Nagaon.

Kimaya races into the sun

Happy pup

Leaping at Lalee. Lalee regularly punishes her for such offences but Kimaya doesn't care.

A rare still moment - conducting a thorough sniff-check of their friend Brownie. Brownie submits meekly to the examination.

Lovely Photos Rajashree!
Kimaya's energy reminds me of my Raju! How old is Kimaya now?
So good of Lalee to be so tolerant of her.

Kimaya is around 9 months old now. Lalee is a lovely dog and has accepted all the new additions to the family including some cats.

Lovely pictures Rajashree! I wish my Picolo has such open places to run in. There is always juhu beach, but its filled with some very aggresive strays.

You should bring him to Nagaon sometimes. Kimaya will love playing with him. One of the ferry services allows dogs on board.

Actually she's quite a timid dog, Manik! She is quite nervous of unknown dogs and new places but once she gets to know them, she is a real "junglee!"
