About Me

I'm a landrace dog fancier. Founder of the INDog Project (www.indog.co.in) and the INDog Club. Before that, I worked with urban free-ranging dogs of Mumbai from 1993-2007. Also a spider enthusiast and amateur arachnologist.

This blog is for primitive dog enthusiasts. It is part of the INDog Project www.indog.co.in. Only INDogs (India's primitive indigenous village dogs) and INDog-mixes (Indies) are featured here. The two are NOT the same, do please read the text on the right to understand the difference. Our aim: to create awareness about the primitive landrace village dog of the Indian subcontinent. I sometimes feature other landrace breeds too. Also see padsociety.org

Village dogs of the Konkan coast

It's kind of fun sitting by the roadside and watching the dogs go by.

These INDogs were all met in villages around Nagaon last week.

As you can tell from the suspicious stares, many of them thought I was weird. I get that look from humans quite a lot.

The girl in the centre has a short tail. Must have lost part of it in some early mishap.

Who's this weird human?

Go away. I don't like you.

Okay weird human, you can stay. These goats are more interesting anyway.

Humans aren't very interesting

Svan asana. His name is Guddu.

After the yoga lesson. Guddu shouting at Kiba (in the car). Kiba started it.

Jacky. He didn't like me either.
Jacky's house
Is it a bat? Is it a fennec fox? No, it's an INPUPPY.
Another crop-tail. Hmm, there's something very interesting in there...
